GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. Entertainment: Patapaa to title his new song Kumchacha.

The ‘One Corner’ crooner Patapaa has hinted of plans to rename his new and yet to be released banger after Ghanaian controversial pastor Kumchacha.

The Swedru-based musician was quick to add that the new song has nothing or whatsoever to do with the popular Ghanaian pastor Kumchacha.

Patapaa during an interview with Prince Benjamin of Class 91.3 FM also assured music lovers especially his fans to expect another smash hit sooner than later which would be hotter than his ‘one corner’ song.

“So my fans expect another heat called ‘Kumchacha’ which will be hit than ‘one corner’. That song is too serious, so watch out. Dropping soon’, Patapaa revealed.

Patapaa came into the limelight after a chief was captured dancing to his one corner song during the Akwambo Festival at Agona-Swedru in the Central Region in 2017 which made people go ‘mad’ and showcase different dancing skills to the song.

GENERAL NEWS: Double Track System: Vacation classes to be held in churches – GES.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
