GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: I'm ready to do a collaboration with Patapaa which will win him a Grammy Award - Kumchacha.

Controversial preacher, Prophet Kumchacha has disclosed during an interview that he's ever ready to feature hiplife artiste Patapaa in a song, and that will bring him an award.

Prophet Kumchacha who is the Founder and Leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries told Kofi Adomaa during his interview on KOFI TV that if hiplife artiste Patapaa should repent from his sinful ways, he's ready to do a song with him.

The man of God further indicated that he will do a sensible song with the "one corner" hit maker which will win him an award instantly. He went pn to say that Patapaa is his friend and that he has no grudge with him, and his ready anytime any day to feature him on a song.

"If Patapaa should repent from his sinful ways, and comes to me in humbleness for forgiveness, I'm ready to forgive him and take him as my son. And I'm also ready to feature him on a song which sensible and will help others," Prophet Kumchacha said.

He added that "if I feature Patapaa in any song that song will win an award instantly."

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
