Top music stars in the country and from the United States (US) will lead a massive clean-up exercise at Nima/Mamobi in Accra on Saturday, April 28 to help keep the two Zongo areas clean.

The event is being organised by the Inner City and Zongo Development Ministry, in collaboration with the Broadway Entertainment and VVIP, as part of government’s grand agenda to keep the Zongo communities in Ghana clean at all times.

Dubbed ‘Keep Zongo Clean’, Saturday’s programme is the maiden edition of a laudable exercise by the President Akufo-Addo-led administration, which would be replicated in all the Zongo areas that are scattered across the 10 regions in the country.

Broadway Entertainment, an event organisation firm which also manages music and movie stars, among other activities, has been brought on board to help because of its positive track record when it comes to issues of proper sanitation in the country.

Led by its CEO, Abdul Fatahu Alhassan, Broadway Entertainment played pivotal roles in the introduction of the National Sanitation Day programme, where the company’s famous music/movie icons led the campaign to keep the country clean.

Broadway Entertainment’s sanitation ambassadors like Ben Brako, Tic Tac, Pascalin, Papa Nii and Luther, all from Ghana, will be joined by US music stars such as King Koahi, Jah D, DJ Pack and Michael Morgan for the big event.

Abdul Fatahu Alhassan said the music stars from Ghana and US would perform to entertain the people of Nima/Mamobi on Friday night to officially launch the ‘Keep Zongo Clean’ programme and also create awareness about the upcoming clean-up exercise.

Mr Kwasi Boateng Nkansah, the director of operations at Broadway Entertainment, stated that Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Local Government Ministry and the Sanitation Ministry will all contribute to keep the Zongos in the country very clean to prevent diseases.
