GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Shatta Wale blasts fan for asking him to get married.

The Dancehall King Shatta Wale never forgives, it’s advisable not to get on his bad side and this has been more evident today as he blasted a user on Twitter who asked if he would never marry.

Lots of people have been asking around when the Gringo hit-maker is going to take someone up to the altar.

With fellow artists Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, John Dumelo and a host of other male celebs tying the knot, Ghanaians have been quick to bash Shatta Wale for not doing same.

It looks like he’s finally had enough and took to his Twitter to shut down one user who asked him the question.

Replying to a user with the handle @realnanakofi who asked:”So you derre u no go marry some????”, Wale shot back and said “Strongman you wake up morning, your headache is whether another man will marry or not...Go look for job ma guy“

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
