GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Having sex with your partner before marriage is not fornication – Ben Brako.

Veteran highlife musician, Ben Brako has revealed that having sex with your partner before marriage can never be fornication hence there is nothing wrong with that.

The fact can’t be taken away from everyone that fornication in most religious dispensations is a sin. According to the dictionary, Fornication is sex before marriage, and it seems our beloved highlife maestro didn’t read his dictionary before airing his view on this matter.

Well, in an interview with MzGee host of the G-Spot on Joy Prime, Ben Brako disclosed that fornication is when you sleep around with different women all the time in the name of sex but not having a loving sexual relationship with someone you intend to marry.

The ‘Mawie‘ hit maker seems to have been caught up in the act as he mixed the definition for promiscuity with that of fornication.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
