GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Actress and TV personality, Efia Odo has advised critics to mind their business and stop talking about her love life. Talking about the relationship between her and Kwesi Arthur on the ‘Uncut Show’ with Zion Felix, Efia retorted it is not anybody’s business if she is dating the rapper. According to her, it is her choice to let the public know who she is dating or not. She, however, explained that she never dated Kwesi Arthur nor had any sexual relationship with him,and they just worked by shooting the ‘Nobody’ music video. Efia revealed her love for rap and how she can relate to songs churned out by Kwesi Arthur. She described Kwesi Arthur as a great lyricist and a prolific rapper. GENERAL NEWS: Kidnapped girls: Angry mother slaps suspect in court

There was drama at the Sekondi High Court 2 in the Western Region Wednesday, when a mother of one of the kidnapped girls slapped the suspect, Samuel Udoterk after he pleaded not guilty to the crime.  Comfort Arhin, mother of Ruthlove Quayson, distressed by the suspect’s refusal to disclose where her daughter and the other girls have been kept, pounced on him when he was being ushered out of court, demanding justice for the crime they believe he has committed.  Joy News’ Correspondent, Ina-Thanlia Quansah, was in court and reports that parents and family members of the other two girls joined Comfort in the attack.  She said it took almost 15 minutes before the police, who nearly arrested the agitating families, to bring some sanity to the court.  When the case was called, six charges of conspiracy to commit crime; to wit kidnapping and kidnapping were levelled against Udoterk and the second suspect, John Orji.  But Udoterk pleaded not guilty to all. ...

Legendary filmmaker and entertainment critic, Socrate Sarfo has thrown a challenge to Amandzeba Fiifi Smith to name the people who he claimed neglected Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM 1) in times of difficulties after everything NAM 1 did for the Showbiz industry. Socrate Sarfo dared Amandzeba in the studios of Happy FM when the two pundits appeared as panelists on Happy FM’s weekend entertainment show ‘Showbiz Xtra’ with Doctar Cann on Saturday 27th of July, 2019. ‘’Mention the names of the people who neglected NAM 1.
