GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: I am not your crush in anyway – Yvonne Nelson 'wickedly disgraces' TV Africa.

YEN.com.gh has sighted a post by TV Africa and actress Yvonne Nelson and it can be said that all is not well between the two parties. 

What looks like a joke turned out to be a big embarrassment on the part of TV Africa.

TV Africa had posted a photo of Yvonne Nelson on its twitter handle, and referred to her as “Our crush”. 

TV Africa posted: “What inspires you about our #chiqCrush @YvonneNelsongh? But Yvonne Nelson went berserk and attacked TV Africa, asking them not to call her their crush. 

Yvonne wrote: “@TV Africa I’m NOT YOUR CRUSH IN ANYWAY!”

The popular actress replied to TV Africa’s post in capital letters, obviously to show how serious she was with her warning. 

Her comment may come as a shock to many, but not to those who are aware of the beef between Yvonne Nelson and Counselor Lutterodt. 

Counselor Lutterodt is on record for calling Yvonne Nelson a "prostitute, home breaker and a disgrace to womanhood". 

According to him, Yvonne Nelson has disgraced all women by having a child out of wedlock.

Counselor Luttrodt has often made his “wicked” comments about Yvonne on TV Africa, where he takes part in panel discussions. 

Therefore to Yvonne, she sees no reason why TV Africa should refer to her as their crush when they allow her “enemy” Counselor Lutterodt to make such derogatory remarks about her on their channel. 

Meanwhile, the controversial George Lutterodt recently apologized to the “Heart of Men” star actress for “all he has said about her”. 

Yvonne Nelson has not yet responded to his apology as to whether she has accepted it or not.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
