GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Yaw Dabo finally explains his relationship with Vivian Okyere.

Yaw Dabo has finally come clean and explained that although he has a great relationship with Kumawood actress Vivian Okyere, there is no sexual relationship between him and her.

Yaw Dabo was on the Delay show with ace media personality, Delores Frimpong Manson and he revealed that he has a very good relationship with Vivian Okyere but she is not his girlfriend.

Yaw Dabo explained that they got very close after they shot a movie titled “Me Gye Wo Girl” where the two of them were the lead characters. He added that if he wants Vivian, he is confident enough to propose to her but he insisted they are just friends.

For over a year, there have been constant rumours that midget Ghanaian actor, Yaw Dabo is dating her colleague actress, Vivian Okyere aka Tundra.

Vivian Okyere after the news broke confirmed the rumors and even in a video recording confessed her love for the actor. He warned people not to underestimate their relationship because Yaw Dabo is her world and he is special to her.

A few months later, this same lady was on TV denying the relationship. Meaning, she lied about her affair just for hype and stood on live TV and denied ever having an affair with Yaw Dabo. She was even bold enough to accuse bloggers of falsely tainting her name….such nonsense!.

Yaw Dabo never confirmed or deny the rumours. This is the first time he is really clearing the air on his relationship with Vivian Okyere.

GENERAL NEWS: Double Track System: Vacation classes to be held in churches – GES.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
