GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Afia Schwarzenegger ‘dumps’ Dr. Mensa Otabil to 'stand with' poor Ghanaians.







Controversial radio and TV personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has waded into the ongoing social media campaign, #IStandWithOtabil that has divided people on social media.

In a long letter to the followers and sympathisers of Dr. Mensa Otabil, the outspoken comedienne chastised them for a needless campaign that sought to defend Dr. Mensa Otabil amid all the reports available that indicate he supervised the collapsed Capital Bank.

According to the hostess of Konkonsa Police on TV Africa, she had chosen not to comment about the issue but the flyers going about with the message I Support Dr. Otabil got her annoyed hence her decision to finally break her silence on the saga.

In her message, Afia Schwarzenegger wondered why Dr. Otabil who has been preaching to people to sow seeds of thousand dollars in other to have their businesses flourish could not sow a see of $5000 to save the fortunes of the bank he was a Board Chairman of.

She further insinuated that it is people like Dr. Otabil who have for decades used the bible to trick people of their monies to enrich themselves yet have done very little in terms of giving back to the society.

Before I talk about ur pastor,the man that watches animal kingdom yet preaches to human beings I will show you my achievements.

I was able to put up an orphanage together with my friends whiles I was living in a single hotel room with my kids and I didn’t collect seed neither did I take 610 taxpayers money.

Before I talk about u,let me show u my achievements,I was able to feed extra mouths plus my kids with less than GHC6,000 salary 2015 without tricking people to sow any 24 hr miracle seed whiles you Pastor Mensah Otabil couldn’t sow $5000 to save your bank!

Imagine if this 610 saga was a political saga…you would have given sermons pt 1-7 about how immoral politicians are…

I chose not to comment abt all these But yo be honest flyers like these just make everything annoying.

Massa,I stand with the poor Ghanaians that can’t have people doing savage post for them even though their money is said to be with you!

They can’t show you their achievements cos they have conscience,won’t bully people in the name of God to enrich themselves…they can’t show you their achievements cos obviously they can’t steal,they can’t show achievements cos they can’t lie in the name of God.
