GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Ibrah 1 set to marry beauty queen Dija Labelle next week.

Young millionaire, Ibrahim Dauda, popularly known as Ibrah One is reportedly getting ready to marry. YEN.com.gh gathers that Ibrah will be marrying his longtime girlfriend, Dija Labelle, next week.

According to a GhanaCelebrities.com report, Dija Labelle who is a former beauty queen is currently out of the country and will arrive early next week for the ceremony.

Dija Labelle, YEN.com.gh understands, has been dating Ibrah One for some time now and already has four kids with him.

Ibrah One who is known as one of the richest young people. While he had reportedly been a successful businessman, Ibrah gained national attention in November 2017 when he stormed a 'trotro' bus to gift iPhones to those on board as part of his birthday celebration.

While the gesture endeared him to many people, Ibrah has not fared too well in the media recently in the last few months.

In April, news came up that Ibrah One had been arrested by Interpol over a money laundering investigation in the US. Reports at the time suggested that Ibrah had been snitched on by a friend whom he cheated over $400,000 deal.

But it later turned out that Ibrah's arrest and the whole brouhaha surrounding it had been staged.

According to Ibrah, he did that to test the loyalty of boys under him. He also recently threw a shade at Zylofon boss, Nana Appiah Mensah, after the Bank of Ghana issued a warning concerning Menzgold's operations. Judging from this, it could be said that 2018 has not been a really good year for Ibrah One but it seems he is set to end it on a good note.

GENERAL NEWS: Double Track System: Vacation classes to be held in churches – GES.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
