GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Sarkodie is not an occultist – Sarkodie’s Manager.

Recently, it was reported that a self-acclaimed prophetess has revealed that Sarkodie is an occultist and warns him to desist from practising occultism or else he will disappear just like Castro did.

Finally, Sarkodie’s Manager, Angel has come out to defend his artiste, by saying that he is not a member of the illuminate group. The signs he does in his photos and music videos are just for life.

“Actually, I’m not in the illuminating group and believe my artiste Sarkodie, is not as well in that group,” he told GBC

He also questioned the prophetess, who said Sarkodie is an occultist, whether she wants them to go to church for deliverance or go to her camp for some necessary steps to be taken in order to save Sarkodie’s life, because he’s not getting the prophetess very well.

He concluded with the much awaited answer, “The world will hear Sarkodie massively very soon, more hit songs coming up.”

GENERAL NEWS: Double Track System: Vacation classes to be held in churches – GES.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...

BET award winner, Sarkodie has eulogized his record label signee, Akwaboah as the best songwriter in Africa.  Akwaboah is noted to have written songs for renowned artistes in Ghana and even Africa.  He wrote Becca’s hit single ‘Daa ke Daa’ and ‘Ayeyi Ndwom’ by DSP kofi Sarpong among others.  Akwaboah who signed on Sarkodie’s record label ‘Sarkcess Music’ co-wrote and Produce Sarkodie’s 4th Album dubbed ‘Mary'  The singer cum songwriter whose real name is Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jr recently released his first album under Sarkcess music titled "Matters of the Heart”.
