GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: I spend spiritual money not physical cash – Angel Obinim.

Founder of International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim says he spends money made from the spiritual realm.

According to him, it is wrong for people to think he spends money generated from his church.

Obinim took time to educate his church members on his latest achievements and how he could easily afford cars bought by international footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo.

He urged the congregant to keep up with their good behaviours should they want to enjoy some of his spiritual monies.

“We take the money from the spiritual and convert them into physical. I have said all the monies I have put in the banks are not from my church, they are from the spiritual realm and I have changed them into physical…”

He continued by saying, “Jesus told me to share with my church members. So I tell you to watch your ways so I can use some of the money to help you and take care of you…” he cautioned them.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
