  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. Government in July allowed final year students in the tertiary education institutions to complete their semester courses and wrote their exit examinations. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: James Gardiner explains why he struggled to kiss Tonto Dikeh on set.

Have you for once imagined how the feeling would be like when you finally meet someone you admire so much or aspire to be?

People meet their mentor or people they aspire to be and sometimes get tongued-tied or even become a living robot .

Yes, a living robot.

That was what happened to Ghanaian actor, James Gardiner when he had the chance to shoot a movie with Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh for the first time.

James Gardiner in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show revealed that he struggled to kiss Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh the first time they met on set .

According to the Zylofon signee , it was like a dream come true because he admired the actress so much and mostly watched her movies on TV.

He proceeded by saying that his unwillingness to give a simple kiss on set angered the Nollywood actress as she could not fathom why that should be a problem .

“They told me to kiss Tonto Dikeh and I said how could I kiss her? She might get angry with me. I was so scared to kiss her.My reluctance was not because I have not kissed a woman before, but it’s one thing to kiss a woman in your own space and another on the screens. I mean, this is someone I used to watch on the TV and admire so much, so how can I kiss her just like that?”

“I was so scared that the director had to pull me to the side and talk to me, and she (Tonto Dikeh) was even getting annoyed because I was struggling to put myself together for the act.”

James Gardiner has featured in numerous Ghanaian and Nollywood movies, some of his movies are My Husband's Secret, Happy Death Day, Broken Mirror, A Night with her et al.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said it will organise extra classes to augment the regular double track system so that students on vacation can be engaged while they wait their turn to go to school.  Deputy Public Relations Officer of GES, Isaac Asiedu Odei disclosed to TV3 that the extra classes will be held in church halls, community centers and private schools across the country for students on vacation.  He explained that some church halls and community centres are already being used for extra classes as such the ministry will take advantage of the situation.  “You know we have a lot of church halls or community centres…it’s a temporary kind of structure and you know people are organising classes in some of these structures already and we can even take advantage of some private schools, when they close we can also go in there,” he explained.  Mr. Odei also disclosed that government is going to place about four teachers in “every district or...
