GENERAL NEWS: Akufo-Addo to firm-up school reopening after Cabinet meeting on December 30

  President  Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  is receiving briefings from  COVID-19  Technical Taskforce on limited school re-openings and would make a firm decision on school reopening in January 2021 after a Cabinet meeting on December 30, 2020. Addressing a news conference in Accra on  COVID-19  Updates on Tuesday, Information Minister,  Kojo Oppong Nkrumah , said the  COVID-19  Taskforce would work throughout the Christmas period to brief the President and analyse the impact of the  COVID-19  pandemic on students, during the limited school re-openings in July, August, September, and October, this year. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Sandra Ankobiah talks about law, pageantry in Ghana, her TV gigs and greatest fear.

Ghanaian lawyer, media personality, entrepreneur and humanitarian-Sandra Ankobiah who is arguably one of the most intelligent Ghanaian female celebrities out there has opened up about her life including her legal work, past pageantry experience, her TV career days and other things on UTV’s Chat Show, ATUU, hosted by Abeiku Santana. 

Ankobiah who is an attorney in Ghana obtained her first and master’s degrees from the University of Buckingham between 2005 and 2009, where she studied International and Commercial Law, with a specialisation in World Trade said she grew up wanting to become a lawyer—and she has worked hard to make that happen. 

Sandra, a beautiful and eloquent brainer, talked about what has recently become a national conversation in relation to pageantry, the Miss Ghana scandal. She said the Miss Ghana brand has greatly been tainted and there’s an absolute need for rebranding of the pageant she was a participant in 2002 and emerged as the first runner-up.

Speaking about her humanitarian works, the coordinator for The Legal Advocacy Foundation mentioned that she is the current Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Ghana—work she does as part of her give back to society. 

During the Truth/Dare segment, Ankobiah named Yvonne Okoro has her favorite actress in Ghana.
